Mahindra KUV100 NXT launched in BS6 avatar, starting price of Rs 5.54 lakh
New Delhi, Auto Desk. KUV100 NXT is the latest model from domestic carmaker Mahindra, which the company has upgraded to conform to the new BS6 emission standards. The company has officially announced its prices. The starting price of the new Mahindra KUV100 is Rs 5.54 lakh which goes up to Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2020 Mahindra KUV100 NXT now only comes with a falcon G80 petrol engine from BS6 standards and is available in four variants – K2 +, K4 +, K6 +, and K8. The entry-level K2 variant has been discontinued and its prices have been increased by up to Rs 65,000 compared to the BS4 petrol model.
Talking about power specifications, the 2020 Mahindra KUV100 NXT has a BS6 falcon G80 1.2, a three-cylinder petrol engine that generates 82 bhp power at 5500 pm and 115 Nm torque at 3500-3600 rpm. This engine comes standard with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Currently, the company is also working on a pure electric Mahindra EKUV100.
Talking about design and styling, there is no change in the BS6 KUV100 NXT. It comes in 5-seater and 6-seater cabin layout options only. Along with this, the company has given LED DRLs, 15-inch alloy wheels, double-barreled taillamps, and dual-tone exterior color options with dual-chamber headlamps as features.
Talking about cabin features, the company has given a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking camera, business app, keyless entry, tilt-adjustable power steering, front and rear armrests, and cooled glove box, etc.
Talking about safety features, the BS6 KUV100 has dual airbags, EBD with ABS, rear parking sensors, and speed alert standards. However, as additional features in the vehicle, speed-sensing door locks, panic braking, and bonnet opening also have an option for automatic hazard warning lamps, anti-theft alarm, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

It will be available with both petrol and diesel options and five variants will be available in the market. Mahindra launched the KUV100 in India last year. Mahindra’s entry-level SUV in the compact SUV segment could not make much of a mark in the market.
Compared to the regular model of KUV100 NXT, major changes have been made in the design of this new model. Its overall appearance has changed. The headlamps have been redesigned. The front bumper is given a sporty crossover look with a conventional design. The design of the alloy wheels and their covers have been changed. Rear tail lamps are wider than before and now silver is also used in it.
The Mahindra KUV100 NXT is a 6 seater SUV. However, on-demand, you will also get its 5 seater model. Its cabin has not been changed much as compared to the older model. However, now the new model has a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. You will find it in its top model. The KUV100 NXT has an aluminum 1.2-liter series engine. The petrol engine generates 82bhp / 114Nm of power and torque. While the diesel engine generates 77bhp / 190Nm power and torque. Both these engines are equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The automatic variant of this model in petrol and diesel can also be launched in the next five months. At the same time, its electric variant can also be launched next year. It will be showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. Its petrol model is capable of delivering a mileage of 18.4 km and diesel model of 25.31 km.
The Mahindra KVU100 NXT now has a BS6 compliant 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine generates a power of 82bhp at 5500rpm and 115Nm torque at 3500-3600rpm. The engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the company discontinued the diesel model of the KVU100 NXT, which came with a 1.2-liter diesel engine.
